Rhône-Alpes to host theALPS 2013
19-20 September, Chamonix Mont-Blanc

It's been staged in Tyrol twice, now theALPS, the specialist trans-Alpine event for the tourist trade, will for the first time be held in the French tourist region of Rhône-Alpes. Committed tourism providers from the European Alpine region, their international sales partners and media representatives are invited to attend. As in previous years, some 300 leading decision-makers in European Alpine tourism are expected to make the trip to France for the one-and-a-half day programme.

The key elements in this innovative event, namely theALPS Symposium, theALPS Award and theALPS Trading Room, give those participating a multi-purpose platform for making new sales contacts, strengthening corporate networks, exchanging information and adopting new ideas. It's all about further developing and boosting sustainable Alpine tourism together as the number of global travel destinations continues to grow.

Rhône-Alpes Tourisme will take on the role of host and organiser for 2013. The event will be held in close co-operation with the AlpNet support association, set up at theALPS 2012, i.e. the current leading Alpine tourist regions, Grisons, Rhône-Alpes, South Tyrol, Tyrol, Trentino and Valais.
