The fourth "edition" of theALPS, the specialist trans-Alpine event for the tourist trade, was for the first time being held in the tourist region of Arosa, Graubünden, Switzerland.
The key elements in this innovative event, namely theALPS Symposium, theALPS Award and theALPS Trading Room, gives those participating a multi-purpose platform for making new sales contacts, strengthening corporate networks, exchanging information and adopting new ideas. It's all about further developing and boosting sustainable Alpine tourism together as the number of global travel destinations continues to grow.

Arosa Tourism together with Graubünden Tourism was taking on the role of host and organiser for 2014. The event was held in close co-operation with the AlpNet support association, i.e. the current leading Alpine tourist regions: BE!Tourism, Graubünden, Luzern Tourism, Rhône-Alpes, South Tyrol, Tyrol, Trentino and Valais.
